Senior Thesis Clock
As part of the VCD Program at Arizona State University, our senior thesis is heavily based on a social issue we feel is in need of advocacy. The first part consists of a clock, which aims at communicating a single message or statistic based on our social issue, while still maintaining the integrity of a functioning clock with an accurate display of time. Titled
Exploit, the clock represents the 870,000 inmates working full-time in American prisons, making 52 cents an hour while producing more than 11 billion dollars worth of goods
and services for private companies and the United States government. The clock is made of wood, aluminum, and acrylic.
